Management Team

Ms. Kim is the president of Sunshine Kids, Inc. She started Sunshine Kids, Inc. in 1995. Ms. Kim has a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood/ Elementary Education from California University. She also has her Director’s Credentials. Ms. Kim gave up teaching and decided to start her very own Child Care Center in McMurray. She has since grown her business to three medium size Centers located in McMurray, Eighty Four, and Finleyville. She chose the name Sunshine Kids, because she believes that a child’s smile brightens any room and any situation! Her goal is to help love, guide, nurture, and educate as many children in this community as she can. Ms. Kim is married to Mr. John. She has two children, Kali and Nick, and two granddaughters Eden, Eleni, and a grandson Luca.

Ms. Pam is the director of the Eighty-Four center. She has been in the Sunshine Kids family since inception. She attended California University and has an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education. She also received her Director’s Credentials from Northampton Community College.  She has two daughters that have grown up through the centers and have both worked for Sunshine Kids. She has a grandson, Geno, who attends Sunshine Kids. She enjoys working with all age groups, especially the preschoolers. She is a huge Pittsburgh Steelers Fan and also loves the Disney character, Goofy. The smiles on the children’s faces have kept her in the business for all of these years. She knows she has truly impacted the lives of children and she feels that is her greatest accomplishment.

Ms. Tammy has been the Director of the Sunshine Kids Finleyville location since we purchased it from Children’s Paradise. She recently moved to the McMurray center. She has been employed with the company since inception, where she started as a Teacher’s Aide and worked her way up the ladder to becoming a member of the management team. Ms. Tammy graduated from Northampton Community College, with an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and is currently working toward her Director’s Credentials. She loves taking the many different things that she has learned and implementing them in to her day to day work with the children and her staff. Ms. Tammy makes her home with her husband Terrence and their sons Tylir & Zakkary in Washington, PA.

Ms. Amber is the director of the Finleyville Location. She received her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education from Northampton Community College and Director's credential from Point Park University. She works in the preschool and school age rooms. Ms. Amber loves everything Disney, cheering for the Pittsburgh Penguins, music and reading books. Ms. Amber has a home with her husband Kristofer and two cats Selena and Yoda. Ms. Amber enjoys being a part of the management team!
